Effective Use of Water Resources
To make effective use of water, a limited resource, DISCO has installed recycling equipment to process wastewater from the Head Office, as well as from manufacturing processes at the Kure and Kuwabata Plants, and has limited the input levels of supply water.
By introducing this equipment, DISCO has been able to reduce the input levels of supply water by about 30% company-wide.
As a large volume of supply water is needed in the manufacturing processes of precision processing equipment and precision processing tools, limiting the input levels of supply water not only has cost benefits but also contributes to drought management in the region.
