DISCO becomes the first Japanese company to earn certification under the ISO 22301:2012*1 Business Continuity Management System Standard

On May 26, 2012, DISCO Corporation (Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuma Sekiya) obtained certification under the ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) Standard.

We are the first Japanese firm to obtain this certification (according to SGS Japan) and among the first companies globally.
Our system received certification under the Final Draft International Standards (FDIS) on April 26, 2012, and, following a review after publication of the new standard, was certified under ISO 22301:2012.

Since 2003, we have focused our efforts into a system of prompt recovery and business continuity to ensure our ability to provide a stable supply of products to customers in the event of a disaster. In December 2008, we obtained certification under the BS 25999-2: 2007 BCMS Standard, issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI). Now in accordance with the issuance of the new international standard, ISO 22301:2012, we have obtained this certification as well.

We will continue to gradually expand the scope of the BCMS while steadily improving our business continuity, thereby aiming at a company that can further reassure our stakeholders.
